Welcome to my new creative project! My name is Michael. I am a novice hiker, a professional truck driver, and a father of two. This project is my way of rekindling passions I’ve kept on the backburner for far too long, combining hobbies that bring me joy and fulfillment.

 

A little about myself: my fascination with hiking and nature began at a very young age. It all started with an inspiring interaction with a forest ranger in grade school. They shared captivating stories about Mt. Rainier and their work with nature and wildlife, sparking a lifelong interest in the great outdoors. Truck driving has been a natural extension of my love for the outdoors. As a local driver, I get to be outside almost every day, discovering new places I never knew existed in my area. The best part of my job is that I get to come home every night, which is a huge advantage as a dad. Currently, I’m the proud father of one, with baby number two on the way. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and I’m excited to share these experiences and more through this project.

 

This blog is going to have a heavy focus on my hiking experiences as I delve deeper into this rewarding hobby. My goal is to review, photograph, and share all of the amazing trails that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I’ll be exploring a variety of paths, from well-trodden routes to hidden gems, documenting my journey every step of the way. Through detailed trail reviews, stunning photographs, and personal anecdotes, I hope to provide a comprehensive guide for fellow nature enthusiasts.
